Why Our Flat-Rate Is Honest Pricing

Most flooring stores in Worcester County quote you a low headline rate, then add separate charges for subfloor prep, baseboard removal and re-install, transition strips, furniture moving, and “professional installation upcharge.” By the time the truck leaves your driveway you’ve paid significantly more than the original quote.

Our flat rate is the all-in number for a clean install on a flat, accessible subfloor. Baseboard trim is included. Threshold transitions are included. Acclimation, layout, and final cleanup are all included. The price you sign is the price you pay.

If your subfloor needs major leveling, if there’s glued-down tile to demo, or if we need to move heavy furniture multiple times, that’s quoted on the spot as a separate line — never sprung on you at the end.

Vinyl Flooring Types We Install

Four core categories of vinyl flooring — each with strengths for different rooms and budgets.

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)

The all-around choice. Realistic wood-look prints, click-lock floating install, waterproof, 6mm–8mm thick. Best for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways.

Stone Plastic Composite (SPC)

Rigid limestone-mineral core. Maximum dent resistance and stability. Best for kitchens, mudrooms, basements, high-traffic homes with kids and pets.

Wood Plastic Composite (WPC)

Softer foam-like core, warmer and quieter underfoot. Slightly less dent-resistant than SPC. Best for bedrooms and sitting areas.

Sheet Vinyl

Full-roll vinyl that comes in 12-foot widths. Completely waterproof at the seams. Best for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and budget-conscious whole-house installs.

Our 4-Step Vinyl Installation Process

01

Subfloor Inspection

We check for flatness, moisture, and structural soundness. Minor leveling included. Anything major is quoted before we touch a plank.

02

Acclimation

Planks acclimate to your home’s temperature and humidity for 48 hours. Skipping this step is the #1 cause of buckling — we don’t skip it.

03

Layout & Install

We lay out the room for balanced cuts, mark the starting wall, install underlayment if needed, and click-lock plank by plank. Wet-saw cuts at every doorway and transition.

04

Baseboard & Trim

We trim and reinstall existing baseboard or install new quarter-round. Threshold transitions at every doorway. Final cleanup, no debris left.

Vinyl vs. Hardwood vs. Laminate — Worcester County Quick Comparison

Vinyl Plank (LVP/SPC)

Fully waterproof, scratch and dent resistant. Material cost varies by brand and selection; install is included in our flat per-square-foot rate. Lifespan 15–25 years. Best for everywhere except formal living rooms where you want real wood feel.

Engineered Hardwood

Real wood top layer, can be sanded once or twice. Material and install are quoted per project. Lifespan 30–40 years. Best for living rooms, bedrooms, formal areas — not for bathrooms or basements.

Laminate

HDF core with photo-print top, NOT waterproof in older versions. Budget-friendly material and install. Lifespan 10–15 years. Best for budget-conscious projects in dry areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does vinyl plank flooring installation cost per square foot in Worcester County, MA?

Our flat per-square-foot rate covers vinyl plank installation including baseboard trimming — a detail most flooring stores hide as a surprise fee at the end. Materials (the planks themselves, underlayment, and transitions) are quoted separately so you can shop the brand and style you want at any retailer.

Do I have to buy the vinyl planks through you?

No — and we encourage homeowners to shop. Most of our clients buy at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Floor & Decor, LL Flooring, or online direct from Shaw, Mohawk, Coretec, or Pergo. You pick the brand and style, we install it for the same flat per-square-foot rate.

What’s the difference between LVP, SPC, and WPC vinyl?

LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) is the broad category. SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) has a rigid limestone-mineral core — most durable, best for high-traffic areas, more comfortable on the foot than tile. WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) has a softer foam-like core — quieter and warmer underfoot but slightly less dent-resistant. We install all three and help you pick the right one for each room.

How long does vinyl installation take?

A single bedroom (~150 sqft) installs in one day. A typical ranch-style single floor (~1,200–1,500 sqft including kitchen, living, and hallway) takes 3 to 4 days. We handle subfloor inspection, acclimation, install, and baseboard trim all in one trip.

Will the new vinyl be level over my existing subfloor?

Yes — subfloor inspection and minor leveling is part of our standard flat per-square-foot rate. We check for high spots, fill low spots with self-leveler when needed, and ensure the substrate is flat within industry tolerance before any plank goes down. Major leveling (more than 1/4 inch over 10 feet) is quoted separately.

Do you remove the old flooring?

Removal of old carpet, laminate, or floating vinyl is included in the per-square-foot price when it’s a straightforward pull-up. Glued-down vinyl, tile, or hardwood removal involves more labor and is quoted as a separate line item depending on what’s glued and what’s nailed.

Can vinyl plank flooring go over my existing tile?

In most cases, yes. Vinyl plank is a floating floor that doesn’t need to be attached to the substrate, so as long as the tile is flat, level, and structurally sound, we can install directly over it with appropriate underlayment. This often saves homeowners a significant amount in tile demolition costs.

Do you offer warranties on vinyl installation?

Yes. We provide a one-year workmanship warranty on all our installations, separate from the manufacturer’s warranty on the planks themselves (most major brands offer 15–25 year residential warranties). If anything we installed buckles, separates, or fails due to our work, we come back and fix it at no charge.
